SharpDoc templates allow you to create reusable documents for quotes, proposals, invoices, contracts, and other customer-facing documents. You can create a new template from scratch, customize a MarketSharp template, or copy one of your existing templates.
Templates are managed from the My Templates tab on the SharpDoc Manager page.
Before you begin
Before creating a template, verify that SharpDoc has been enabled for your MarketSharp account.
If you do not have access to SharpDoc, contact your Customer Success Manager or email support@marketsharp.com for assistance.
To access the SharpDoc Manager page:
MarketSharp Classic
Navigate to Admin > Document Setup > SharpDoc.
MarketSharp New Admin
Navigate to Admin (New) > Templates & Documents > SharpDoc.
Once the SharpDoc Manager page opens, select the Templates tab.
Create a template
From the Templates tab, click + New Template.
- Enter a Template Name.

Select a Base Template.
Choose a Base Template
When creating a template, you can choose one of the following starting points.
Blank Template
Select Blank Template to create a completely new template.
Choose this option when you want to design your own layout and content from scratch.
MarketSharp Templates
MarketSharp includes several preconfigured templates that you can use as a starting point, including:
- Proposal Template
- Quote Template
- Invoice Template
- Sales Contract
These templates provide a foundation that you can customize to meet your business needs.
Existing Templates
Select one of your existing templates to create a copy.
Creating a copy allows you to make changes without modifying the original template.
- Click Create.
Your new template opens in the template editor, where you can begin customizing it.
Edit a template
Use the template editor to customize your template.
Common tasks include:
- Adding or editing text
- Formatting content
- Adding images
- Creating tables
- Adding signature fields
- Rearranging pages and sections
Note: Changes are saved automatically while you edit your template.
When you're finished, close the editor to return to the SharpDoc Manager page.
Manage templates
The Templates tab allows you to manage all of your custom templates.
From this page, you can:
- Create a new template
- Edit an existing template
- Copy an existing template
- Delete a template
Important: Deleting a template permanently removes it and it cannot be recovered.
