In this tutorial we will be showing you how to convert a lead to a customer. This is important because this will allow you to create jobs for the contact and schedule production steps such as installations, remeasures, and more.
Step One: Locate your lead in MarketSharp
Search for the lead on the contacts tab section in MarketSharp. You can either use the Omni-Search function (1) or use the Quick Find feature (2).
If you need to know how add a lead, here is a tutorial on that - Add a Lead
Step Two: Result the Appointment
You will have to schedule an result an appointment as an appointment result designated with a sold option.
To do this, on the contact's record, under the Inquiries and Appointments section, click the word EDIT.
Click the blue icon to the right of the Appt Result drop down.
You will be able to see all the Appt Result Options that have the SOLD option selected.
In this case, I have 2 options I can choose from. You're database may have more or less but I wanted to point this out, because if you choose an appointment result that does not have SOLD checked, then the lead will not convert to a customer.
Hit Cancel to go back to the Edit Appt Section.
Result your appointment with one of your sold options.
You will now see a green banner on top of the display congratulating you on the sale and notice the save button at the bottom now shows Save & Create Job.
Click Save & Create Job.
The lead will now convert over to a customer and you will now be prompted to create a job.
