🔐 Session Management in MarketSharp
To ensure secure, fair use of MarketSharp and RemodelerGo, we’ve introduced a unified session management system across all platforms. This helps protect your account, improve platform reliability, and align with standard practices used by major platforms like Salesforce and Netflix.
🧭 What Is Session Management?
A “session” begins when you log in or interact with MarketSharp or RemodelerGo. This session allows you to stay securely signed in and continue working without interruption.
Sessions are automatically managed behind the scenes to ensure:
- Security: Prevent unauthorized use of your login.
- Fair Access: Ensure license compliance and avoid account sharing.
- Performance: Help us detect unusual usage patterns and keep the system responsive.
⚙️ How It Works
- You can use MarketSharp products across multiple devices (web, mobile, etc.).
- If a new device logs in beyond your current session limit, you will be prompted to release an existing session to be able to login.
If this happens, you’ll see the following message:
“You are unable to login due to the maximum amount of devices on this user license. Please contact your office administrator to deactivate an existing device.”
This ensures your access remains secure and that license usage is in line with our terms of service.
⏱ Session Expiration & Inactivity
To keep accounts secure, sessions will automatically expire after a period of inactivity:
MarketSharp (Web)
- Sessions expire after 24 hours of inactivity.
- Any click or page load resets the timer.
RemodelerGo (Mobile App)
- Sessions expire after 7 days of inactivity.
- Any action that connects to MarketSharp (e.g., opening a job or saving a note) resets the timer.
You’ll be prompted to log in again once your session expires.
❌ Deactivating a Session
Office administrators can manage active sessions for employees from the New Admin area in MarketSharp.
To deactivate an employee session:
- Navigate to the MarketSharp Admin page
- Switch to the New Admin view.
- Select Employees.
- Open the Manage Team tab.
- Find the employee whose session needs to be managed.
- Click the Pencil Icon ✏️ to Edit
- Locate the Session Management section.
- Select Deactivate for the session that should be released.
Deactivating a session will release that device from the employee’s active session list. The employee may be prompted to log in again the next time they access MarketSharp or RemodelerGo from that device.
This is useful when an employee reaches the maximum number of allowed sessions, replaces a device, no longer has access to a device, or needs an administrator to help release an existing login session.
📌 Need-to-Know
- Your session follows you across all MarketSharp platforms — log in once, and it counts as a single session no matter where you use it.
- Logging out from one device doesn’t affect your other active sessions.
- Sessions are refreshed automatically with activity — no need to manually reset anything.
