Text Message Segments

Text message segments are the way Marketsharp measures text message usage based on the text message plan you have. A segment is a text message that contains 160 characters.

You can check your segment usage for the month by selecting Marketsharp Text Message Setup in the Admin page under the Text Message Setup box.

The Marketsharp Text Message Template Maintenance page displays how many segments a text message template is estimated to be. This can be found by clicking Marketsharp Text Message Templates in the Text Message Setup box in the Admin page.

For example- If you are sending a text message that contains 210 characters, this counts as two segments in your monthly text message plan.

 

If you find that your company is going over the monthly text message package, please contact Technical Support and we can discuss your options about expanding your text message plan. Expanding your monthly text message plan allows your business to continue to keep in touch with your customers without interruption.
