Texting: Two-Way Text Expansion
MarketSharp Texting, available to accounts on the MarketSharp Ultimate plan, now includes two-way text conversations in addition to automated and templated texts.

The Two-Way Text expansion will include a couple new inserts. The Text Chats insert will always remain open (unless removed by permissions), and the individual chat insert.
The Text Chats window is a list of conversations with the most recent messages on top. The list of messages are ones that are sent and received, we are not including any future dated text that has yet to be sent.
-The number in the bracket lets you know how many un-read conversations you currently have in your system. Once you click on the chat it will pop open the individual conversation box and mark the conversation as read.
-The blue dot next to the message marks the conversations that have not been read.
-Clicking on a name in the Text Chat window will open up a individual chat window.
-The Text Chat window will refresh anytime you click on a tab/link within MarketSharp or every minute.
If you are unable to find a contact in the Text Chat list it may mean you haven't sent a message to them yet. In that case just search up the contact and if they have a cell number listed you should see a "Show Conversation" link in the Phone & Fax section. Clicking the link will open the individual chat window.
The individual chat window will contain ALL messages that have been sent to the contact regardless of what cell phone number the messages were sent too. As you can see below the messages are dated and timestamped just in case a question ever arises about when texts were sent.
-To send a message type the message in the text box and hit enter or push Send Message.
-The individual chat window will refresh every 30 seconds in order to grab new messages
-The individual chat window will stay on the selected contact no matter where you are in MarketSharp. If you ever need to get back to the contact all you need to do is click the name on the message.
To change the cell phone number the message needs to be sent to, click the dropdown list in the "To" section. Select the number and type away. The dropdown will only provide you with numbers that are listed as Cell Phone.
If an you or an employee of yours is not able to see the text chat window or wanting to remove it. The inserts are controlled by a permission setting. Someone in your organization that has Admin access will need to go to Admin -> Employee Maintenance, locate the employee in question and click on the key icon for permissions. Under the Feature Permission, check the MarketSharp Texting check box.
Limitations of Two-Way Text:
-Texting can only be done from Business to Client, no internal texting.
-Texting can only be made to one cell phone number
-Texting can not handle Emojis or Images.
